Velvet

I arrived at the paddock tonight to discover Velvie looking like this. She's normally so demure and elegant, but the heat today obviously required a mud bath in the dam. I was about to brush her when Duke suddenly went all strange, scraping at the ground and off his tucker. Great, just what I needed was a bout of colic. I walked him around a bit and then he picked up and started eating again. He gobbled all his dinner and then dragged me round the block when I took him for a walk to try and get his guts moving. Horses!
