Boxing Day with the Little Ones

We headed out early to start the long journey down to Sheffield.  Mum wasn't well and threatened not to come but we dragged her out anyhow.  We ran a little ahead of schedule and so to avoid waking Daniel from his lunchtime nap, we met Rachel and Emily at a local pub for lunch.

Back at the house there was an afternoon of play with the Little Ones, trying out new toys and games.  Uncle G helped Daniel build a lovely big tower and a robot out of interconnecting foam tiles (a close call for today's shot). 

At teatime Daniel mentioned the presents that Santa had delivered that hadn't been opened.  We began with his and then he helped everyone else open theirs too.  This shot was caught as little Emily admired her Uncle G.

Once the kids were safely tucked up in bed there were drinks and food and card games for the grownups.  It began to snow.  My sister and I were like big kids, no one else seemed that bothered.
