Do something that scares you ...

... every day! Little Miss has been adopting this with gusto today! She was a little fearful that this King Parrot might peck her hand when she offered it some cracker, but her courage and perseverance paid off, when it accepted her offering. It was gentle and stayed around for quite a while; we were all entranced.

Remembering her earlier success with the parrot, Little Miss then made the scary move (for one so shy) to go and make some new friends. A couple of little girls had popped by several times but she had been too scared to say hello. This time, she bit the bullet, put Cousteau on the lead and wandered off to join their group.

We were so proud of her! The beam on her face, from ear to ear, on her return showed that she was pretty chuffed too. Much more fun to be playing with kids her own age then hanging out with us 'oldies'!

It also means that Mr Barking, Cousteau and I have some time alone together! Win:Win!

We're getting a little dusty and stale, so we went for a swim today. Cousteau joined us ... reluctantly!
