Homesick

I grew up in SC.  There is something in the vegetation, something in the sunlight, something in the smell that is fundamental to my being.  I resonate on the home frequency as I breathe the air.

It struck me so strongly this morning as I packed the car to return home IN BARE FEET!  That is winter in a nutshell in SC.  It can snow, it can be miserably wet and cold.... But eventually you will have a day of sunshine and temperate weather.  You can soak up sunshine and warm breeze in January to hold you thru the nasty winter weather.
