Real-or not?

This was part of the Media Museums present exhibition. It is called Stranger than Fiction and is a collection of specimens , and photographs archived  by Joan Fontuberta. This was supposed to be a winged creature now extinct! The collection belonged to a Zoologist called Peter Ameisenhaufen, who disappeared in 1955 in Scotland. Apparently the whole thing is-maybe-a hoax, including the Professor! This is a specimen on display by the way
