New Year treat
Started the day with a tiny bit of a headache .......
not wanting to do nothing all day, we went to try some chairs/sofas out, but then decided neither of us were in the mood for buying a new suite.
Next on to PC World/Currys, I had decided that my iPad is great but when I need more memory or something better than my netbook, that I would buy myself a new laptop. Good deal on HP model (I wanted the purple one) - so the first shop said they only do that model online (wrong), next shop too busy (or not enough staff), last shop had it in stock and happy to sell it to me. I was told that they would redeem the £7.50 monthly customer support charge (managers discretion) and the half price case (with wireless mouse) gave me half price again (managers discretion). Left the shop a happy lady. Got home to find that my receipt indicates that the £7.50 would be waivered for the first month, but would then continue monthly (never mentioned!) off my card. I will be calling the customer care number to cancel this arrangement - what a cheek!
Back to work tomorrow.
