Acorn Cap in the Moss

Started New Year's Day with a little sleeping in, a luxurious quiet time, and then out with the dogs for a walk in the woods. 

This type of moss appears almost fluorescent against the backdrop of gray sky and trees, and the dull sienna of dropped leaves...a joyous sight!

A most Happy New Year to everyone, it has been a wonderful year in blipdom, and I'm so looking forward to another one!
