Christmas
Every year D and I have a romantic idea that we'll put the children to bed and settle down with a bottle of fizz to watch Its a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve, this year it actually happened - no large gifts to be brought in from the garage and wrapped in situ - I was especially proud of last years fully wrapped bike, nothing to be brought down from the loft and assembled - I still have nightmares about the simple dolls house the took over two hours to put together. I thought I'd even got away with filling their stockings, Ky put me right, she heard!
We had a fantastic day, children as usual made it all worth while and seemed especially pleased and grateful for all their gifts, Josh's disappointment at not receiving an anorak bearing the badge of his favourite football club was very short lived despite it suddenly becoming his must have gift in the last few days! Only three lego sets received this year and Josh has all ready assembled the largest without any help from his dad. I think D is a little disappointed, I may have to buy him his own set next year, but his legs are very grateful that they won't be spending hours on the floor putting the small pieces together. Ky and Josh are definetly growing up but still enjoyed the thrill of peaking to check that Santa had been. Josh was especially cute as he looked forward to next Christmas when he'll be able to enjoy the magic of Santa with a little cousin, even if it is a girl!
Again it has been declared the best Christmas ever and you can't ask for more than that!
