Times Of My Life

And a Very Happy New Year to You

Our lovely day today consisted of a visit to Burntisland to the Family Dog blipfamily, to have lunch and some nice family time with them.  Me, G, and my older brother Tom trundled down.  Already there was the tallest nephew and his lovely girlfriend.

Abi and Bryan's friends Kat and Woody and their baby, Ruby, were there having spent Hogmanay.  We were joined later by another of their friends, Lynne, and her fella Graham, and her two wee boys Finn and Bryce.

As usual, my family shot misses half the family out!  Bryan, because he was slaving over a hot stove making the most amazing roast leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary, and a freshly baked chocolate cake with peppermint icing.  Mmmmmm-mm!

Abi, because she is dashing about sorting out dishes and cutlery, and trying to feed the kids in the livingroom with pizza and oven chips.  Lynne is actually in the shot, but hidden behind her man, and only part of Kyle is visible.  Nic has her head turned away, G is looking at whatever it is he is trying to reach and Ida has her entire back to the camera!

Word of warning for you all folks: no matter how desperate you may ever be, please do not ask me to come along and take group shots of important family events in your life - it will only lead to disappointment!

And of course, I am not in the photo at all.  Or indeed, any photo taken at any point over the whole festive period.  I hope I never have to prove my existence by providing pictorial evidence, because I will be stuffed!  For the record; I am NOT the only person in the family with a camera.

We had a lovely afternoon, the food was amazing (thank you so much Abi and Bryan), and as usual the company was great.  I had a couple of glasses of fizz, and now G and I are just about to settle down to watch Slumdog Millionaire on Beeb 2 with a wee something to tide us over until breakfast!

Happy New Year everybody - hope 2015 is as promising as this first day has been.
