Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

We had a quiet day today, its rained virtually all day but there was a gap when it actually stopped this morning, so I grabbed Misty and my sister and we went to the marsh.  My sister who lives in Perth  is a Townie and has borrowed my other sister's walking boots for dog walking with me.  Its hilarious watching my townie sister walking on the marsh trying to avoid mud and puddles as she doesn't want to get the boots dirty, enough said, still hilarious though :):)  She's  going back to Clacton tomorrow, she's decided to hire a car one way which was the best  option.  Since looking into rail fares we've found out that the trains over East are a lot cheaper than here on the West so that's worth knowing for the future.

My townie sister (I'm getting some mileage out of this!) dragged me off to a local garden centre this afternoon which has a lovely tea room and we were really looking forward to a coffee and teacake, but despite her checking online to see if it was open, it was closed.  Between you and me I think she was looking at the wrong page because when she checked it again it definitely said they were closed!  I think we're going back after she's collected the car in the morning.

Today's blip was taken on the marsh this morning.  It looked so drab on the laptop I decided to liven it up a bit using one of the Topaz filters.

Misty was chuffed at all the comments on yesterday's blip.  She said this morning that she'll stay a bit longer!
