Into the Unknown

Who knows what the year will bring? The sun came up this morning and went down later in the day. I couldn't help but wonder why it bothered, maybe it had a hangover? Although I wasn't inspired, I felt the New Year needed to be marked with something symbolic. This archway seemed to fit the bill. The only indication of what lies beyond is a sign that says "Smallacombe Farm". A fortified farm? No, on researching it, it appears to be a bridge which carries a private lane over the road and the lane goes up to Luscombe Castle. I shall explore this road at some time and see what I can see but for now we'll leave it as the unknown.
