The first day of 2015 has shaped up to be wet, wild, windy and dull. I went out for a breath of fresh air but got battered and wet along the coast where it was literally blowing a gale and the rain was lashing horizontally from the sea.

So, in the fading light in our conservatory, I ran a test with my new old Pentax SMC 55mm 1.8 lens looking onto a corner of an old settle we have there. This is at closest focus on f8, so it's not doing a bad job, even catching the hairs kindly deposited by our feline friends.
