Aloo....parathu!

Not the most healthy start to the New Year I know, but apparently breakfast is the most important meal.

After contemplating what would qualify for a good yummy start to the year, hot Aloo Parathas won. They are a treat, as they require an art to make, and I often struggle rolling them. Often the potato filling just keeps popping out, or there is hardly any filling in them at all.

I am however proud to say today they didn't turn out too bad, if I have to say so myself! I enjoyed dipping the hot paratha in some yogurt with a nice cuppa chai!

(Aloo Parathas are a Punjabi speciality, made by rolling out flour dough which is then stuffed with a spiced potato mash and then cooked on a hot Tawa with butter or ghee.)
