Archie: Taken by Leah

Framed, focused and shot with my camera, and under my supervision, by 6 year-old Leah. This is her little brother, Archie. Her other brother, Corey, is out of this shot but he had to model too.

Mid-December this family ( my family) suffered a serious house fire and lost almost everything apart from themselves. They are now completely overwhelmed by the generosity of people who have housed, fed and clothed them. School children, parents, friends, factory workers, girl guides etc. have all chipped in with such kindness, speed and generosity. This little one is, we assume,  oblivious to what has happened but Leah and her mum, my niece, seem a little emotionally shocked. They have just moved into a new home and need time to settle.

All the children’s toys either burned or melted in the fire but it isn’t taking long to replace the replaceable.
