Counting down

Five minutes to midnight on the town hall clock and Fishguard  Square awaits the pyrotechnics that will greet 2015.

I was surprised to see I hadn't, in the last 4 years, blipped  this community event which once saw our little town nominated as one of the top ten places to celebrate the turning of the year. We may be small but we know how to party and it's not all youngsters either: if your memory goes back as far as mine the name Hawkwind* will mean something to you. Here are a few shots  of the legendary Nik Turner performing at one of tonight's venues in Fishguard. He joined the band in 1969, moved on to many others things and at 74 still plays a mean sax.
