365 project

I did took a 365 daily challenge from Mr. Jukka Kosonen in last year. Now I have taken blips in everyday during this year. Sometimes I just felt that I don't get any good shot for the day. This was a good challenge to find new ideas in every day. Some where good and some not. Those who have not tested this challenge, I recommend to test this. It sounds easy...

I'll promise that I'll continue taking blips, but not in every day. As a new year promise to my family, I'll try not to spend my time with camera and sitting computer by choosing images. I did buy a Lightroom in January and it was a good choise. Now I take all my pictures in RAW mode and I don't need to think white balance any more while shooting pictures.

As a family man, the best time to take pictures is in early morning when I did go to work. Those city landscapes were easy target to me. Probably I don't have wide imagination. For some time I have told people that I can only take documentary images.

During this year I have noticed that my Nikon D5100 needs to be upgraded if I like to take more pictures. The crop cell is just too noisy. Full cell DSLR's are quite expensives and for now I have other placed to invest my money. In some area 30mm f/1.4 is a good lens, but in some cases there depth of field is just too small and more light is needed. Mostly of blips are taken with Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens.
