New Years Day.....

We have had a nice day today. Sleep in this morning then a drive out of town a bit to collect pine cones.
It is something I love to do this time of year...getting ready for the cold days of winter later. There were so many big dry cones on the ground it was an easy job to fill up a couple of sacks.
We took our nephew with us, he and Ella had fun making slow motion short movies of each other jumping off tree stumps...easy to do on the iphone apparently.
Home to an easy tea, and the two kids are still splashing about in the pool Ella bought the other day..it has been well worth its money already!

Driving into our valley there were some great wispy clouds in the sky.
