Hawthorn
The new tumble dryer was delivered before its scheduled slot and before 1000 hours. In view of this we decided to go to Scotsdales Garden Centre again to see if they had any more Pyracanthus. We bought sixteen more and we now have thirty-two. These will be used to fill in the gaps in our hawthorn hedge along part of our front boundary. We now have red, yellow and orange berried ones; the birds will love them and unruly and undisciplined dogs will no longer be able to squeeze through the gaps. I also bought some more bedding plants for the front border.
We also had lunch there and they had several things, apart from the inevitable jacket potatoes on the menu, which were gluten free including cottage pie and chicken balti; I went for the chicken balti, which although not quite the same as one from an Indian restaurant was still acceptable; my poppadum was a little greasy.
Today's blip is of the Hawthorn blossom, which is now starting to open in our front hedge.
