Caroling

We have some delightful (but crazy) friends who invite us over every Christmas Eve for a sit-down dinner.  After dinner this year, Troy sat down and started playing Christmas carols.  Most of the kids stayed downstairs with their movie, but Mia came up stairs, climbed up on my lap and started singing along and clapping.  She wasn't ready to be done when Troy finally left the piano, so Jackie kept her company for a little longer.

Last year, on the way home from dinner, we saw that our neighborhood was lined with luminaries.  We found out later that this has been a long-time tradition of the neighborhood.  This year we joined in on the tradition.  When we pulled down our street, our road and driveway lit our path home.  It was really magical.
