In contrast RSPB Middleton Lakes charge you not a penny but give you a delightful nature reserve to discover with the bonus of a quaint Coffee Shoppe at Middleton Hall and a trip round the hall if you're making a day of it (we weren't).

The birds are used to being fed there so are quite bold as demonstrated by the usually skittish Blue Tit here.

So that's one silver lining. The other is that blip seem to have messed up the counters in the move and included back blips in the overall number. This works for me as I was notionally blipping for three months before I discovered blip. So Happy Days for Cloud #2.

I can't think of seven more so won't make it to cloud #9 but I'll be back for more next year.
