And so, the end is near
As 2014 comes to an and I have been thinking about what I have done this year. We have lost a few along the way and I have spent time remembering them today.
Work has been manic and amazing this year. We have opened six new nurseries and welcomed 15 new staff along with the many existing staff that came with the three pre-schools we took on. It has been a roller coaster to be sure but definitely an achievement to be proud of.
At home I have had one child move home, one go to uni, one apply for uni & the youngest leave school. I have spent some enjoyable Tuesday's looking after my two nephews Felix & Max. Due to increasing work load this will end by the end of January but I have taken January's Tuesdays off as annual leave so there will be a few more F & M Tuesday's to come yet.
Walking and exercise wise I think 2014 has been my laziest. Every day Karen or I seem to find a reason not to walk. Usually it is a legitimate late in from work reason but the tightness of my trousers is really starting to show. To counteract this we are signing up for the Cspital Marathon, a 26 mile walk from Stratford to Herford. If that doesn't inspire us to get working then nothing will!
So what does 2015 have in store?
There are a couple more nursery sites we are looking at, I am looking forward to my aunt being well enough to come home from hospital & then visiting her & my cousins up north. We have a family holiday booked in Devon next July after the stress of A'levels. Hopefully a move to uni for number 3 child and starting to look at uni for number 4 if that's what she decides to do.
The rest will be a surprise....a good one hopefully. Bring it on 2015!
