Last sunrise of 2014
I wasn't sure if yesterday's would be my last sunset blip of 2014, but there can be no doubt this is the last sunrise. Not long after this, the sky clouded and the rain started. It could be a damp start to 2015.
This journal generally skirts clear of the big events in the world, concentrating instead on the trivial and inconsequential challenges and joys of life here in Arnside (and occasionally beyond). On the good days, it is about the fleeting moments of beautiful light when the familiar is transformed into something more mystical, mysterious or magical. On the less than good days, it is about mundane happenings when I am out with Gus. And if all else fails, Gus himself is my reluctant and long-suffering blip muse.
So my wishes for 2015 are simple: good health for friends and family, good light in the mornings and evenings, and finally for Reggie to reappear on the lawn on the first warm morning in March or April.
Happy New Year to anyone reading this.
