Seconds later ...

... and DS#1 and CHarlotte A were still dry. Unfortunately the wave wasn't quite as close as the image might suggest. It was slightly bizarre that driving up the West coast there was hardly any swell at all until we arrived at Hosta beach where suddenly the surf was very definitely up.
The kite enjoyed a quick flight although the wind was surprisingly fluky. Back then to cake and soup before preparing for the excitements of a Scottish Hogmanay. Not quite sure what is involved yet but look forward to it.
