Garden Pheasant

We currently have at least five male pheasants visiting the garden, two of which have this white band around their crown.  We also have some females, possibly about five again.  Usually the females outnumber males by about five to one.  I'm not sure what's happened to bring about this change.

We've had lunch out at the Waggon & Horses and then braved the supermarket (which was a mistake - at least the car-park was!)  Quite a bit of the snow has melted today, though the higher north facing ground  is still pretty white.

I'm now feeling pleasantly snoozy.
