Boy on a swing

Driving the car for 650 miles over three days offers a lot of time for reflection. What words of advice would I have given this wee man over forty years ago?...

"Nothing in the world is ever permanent and we're foolish to believe anything will last, but we'd be even more foolish not to take delight in it while we had it" so said Somerset Maugham who, as well as having a cool name, knew a thing or two.

Cherish your family, don't be stingy with the hugs and if you love someone tell them. All the time. Because nothing is ever permanent.

Right, off to practice what I've been preaching. Let's see what 2015 has in store.
