Birding
Jack decided to come with me this morning when I went down to the hide as he'd never been before, and although he'd heard all about it from me, he was really surprised to see so many different species.
The numbers could have been due in part to the colder weather, and also that there were a couple of serious "birders", who always arrive with huge haversacks (one for camera and lenses) and a second one filled to overflowing with nuts, seeds and fat balls.
It's nice to know at least the birds at Cromwell Bottom don't go hungry, and very obvious they know when they're on to a good thing. :-))
