Edinburgh Christmas 2014

This is a view from Calton Hill in Edinburgh looking towards the Castle, the Balmoral hotel and the seasonal attractions in Princes Street gardens. I hadn't planned to take this shot but as I was in the area and the light looked good I decided to head up the hill to check the view. I guess this mast have been the most popular spot for a photograph as there were many people already there with tripods and cameras pointing the same direction. Despite the warmth of the light in the shot, the temperature was somewhere around zero degrees.
