One last swim

5years 57days

We managed to pack a ridiculous amount into our less than half day at Center Parcs this morning! Katie and I got up fairly early and had a bit of a walk in the woods. We then had a woodland cycle together and also packed the car. She came back in the bike trailer and we stopped to say hello to the reindeer. After breakfast I took Katie and Eden to one of the parks near the villa. We then met Max and Lauren to head to the swimming pool. We had an amazing swim - lots of diving under the water, lots of turns on the rapids, lots of cuddles. We pushed it until the very last minute to get out of the pool before she and I had to get ready and leave.

There on was a bit surreal. She slept the whole journey home and when we arrived she changed into her school uniform, hair still wet before going into school for afternoon registration. After school she managed her swimming lesson, including getting her certificate for her grade. I read the list of what she'd had to do to pass - including, amongst others, handstands in the pool, full forward and back rolls, 25m of efficient back & front crawl and breast stroke (rather than the basic technique required in the last grade), 25m butterfly arms, 25m butterfly legs. I had somehow totally missed the doing of the butterfly arms! We stopped in to see her little friend/our neighbour after swimming. She had felt it too long a whole two days not seeing her!

I have been so excited to get this photo back from holiday! We got some of the most fab underwater photos with my bestie's tough camera. I love this one of the three of them laughing away.
