Hmm. Keep trying.

I WILL nab a decent shot of a woodpecker in 2015!  Not as good as my last attempt, which was far from perfect.  I guess the Herefordshire woodpeckers are more tricky to capture than their Coventry cousins.  My good lady told me s/he was on the lawn.  I swapped my lens to the 70-200.  I crept up.  Then our good friend came roaring up the lane and the woodpecker shot off before I could compose my shot.  This is the rough and ready result.
