What are those little birds?

That is the question a man stopped on the trail to ask me today. I told him they are friendly little birds called black-capped chickadees. Taking a few seeds from my pocket, I placed them in the palm of his hand. He was amazed by the result, which is when I snapped this picture. As he continued down the trail, he turned and asked again, "What are they called?" I hope he went home and told his family and friends about the experience. Birds are both amazing and entertaining. That's why they star in so many of my blip journals. I am thankful to have several wonderful parks near my home where I can enjoy the birds and observe their behavior. There is so much to learn, and it's fun to share.
