Sunshine and BlueBoy
Both Blue and I laid in the patch of sun in the kitchen. You have to take it when it comes. It was lovely to feel the warmth and stretch out.
I swam again and then thought I should get the food shop done before returning home. I hate going, so did it as swiftly as I could. There was a very smart lady in the fruit and veg aisle who had her phone on loudspeaker so she could bag her various vegetables whilst continuing her conversation loudly. It was excruciating to hear and for some reason made me feel quite uncomfortable and very grumpy. You can't help but listen in, even though it's not remotely interesting and yet as I moved away I was horrified to discover that I wanted to know what happened to Rupert in his interview and if Isabella did get selected for the horse trials. I almost went back to bag some courgettes! Thank goodness I came to my senses and got distracted by the new bakery counter.
The rest of the day was spent getting on top of a few things in the garden. It was one of those good for the soul potters, when you achieve a lot and find that you have also done a good amount of sifting in your head.
I made tomato galette for dinner which went down a treat. It's a recipe by Yotam Ottolenghi from the Guardian and everyone eats it.
And finally I am up to date with my journal - phew.
