Ready for the first customers

As I spend so much time watching my neighbour's bird feeders, I decided to set up my own. I put the stand in the middle of the half-barrel in the centre of the garden - unfortunately, as you can see, photographing the birds will present a challenge as the windows face due south so, until late afternoon, shots will be contra jour.
The first starling was checking it out just minutes after I went indoors but have not seen anyone actually feeding yet.
