Hiding from the impending approach of Yule time

I took some shelter from the chaotic streets of Edinburgh, as if managing to swim out of the current of people and into a tranquil pool  surrounded by candles and Christmas lights. I felt cosy and safe gazing at the lights above me and getting the occasional whiff from aromatic candles in the shop behind.
Since I've been ill the past few days I hadn't had a chance to finalise my festive shopping until today, I'm just glad that I was organised for the most part...just a last final push consisting of buying chocolate and socks.....Well I must remove myself from my safe haven and continue running my errands!
