The heart of, what feels like, a village on the Southside of Glasgow. 

On the right hand side is a restaurant, that used to be called Mise en Place, dubbed 'the miserable place' because of the legendary rudeness of its owner. It remains the only place in the UK I have ever been banned from (for politely complaining about the service after I paid my bill!). It's since changed hands and has a new name.  I understand it's much more cheerful so I may venture in again if I dare. Happy to say I've always been allowed into all the other local eateries - they're very good!
