Istanbul white

It has been snowing all day but without really settling so all our hopes for school to be closed tomorrow are fading with the dusk ... I imagine the students are disappointed as well.  However, on a brighter note, the government has just officially announced that all schools will be closed on Friday 2nd (as well as Thursday) for New Year's celebration.  Typical timing of announcements, but good news is always easy to swallow.   I feel a cup of joy coming on... 


Meanwhile, 730th blip tomorrow.   Am bereft of creative ideas however, to send this frankly awful year on its way and unlikely to do any more than tip my hat at its passing. If I wore one.
