3lips

Ok. Three tulips!

I'm not one that likes to do too much post processing of my photos. Sometimes it's fun to mess around, like I did with this tulip shot, but photography, with the era of digital, has gone from "oh I hope I got some good shots" to "oh, what can I DO to my photo". Don't get me wrong, I so very much enjoy digital cameras and the instant gratification, the ease of processing(as well as being much cheaper), no wasting film, being able to share online etc. but I can't help but feel that it's no longer "photography". It's more graphic art. It seems to be not about the actual 'shot' but more about how great it was made to look with the computer. Does anyone else think about that? One thing I do love is being able to take a photo from color to B&W. Before digital, I had two cameras. One loaded with B&W film and the other with color. I shot mostly with the color film. However, I have always been a fan of B&W photography. I used to have boxes and boxes of photos(well, actually, I still do) but now I have files and files of photos. I hardly ever have them made into prints. There, is where I think I am missing out. I need to print more often.
Well, I've rambled on enough about that.

Today was kind of a slow day at the store.
I felt uninspired all day.
Nothing exciting happened.
Nor did I make anything exciting happen.

Well, we are getting a new roof put on. The herd of elephants landed on the house at about 7am this morning. No need for the alarm clock. They ripped everything off and when we came home later today there was that black paper stuff and stacks of roofing on the house. Guess we get to see the new roof tomorrow. One thing they didn't do is put our tv dish back up so we had no TV tonight. So, no american idol. I wasn't too upset. Not as into it anymore. But, really, what IF I wanted to watch it?? Just sayin'. Oh well. Tomorrow we have a new roof AND our dish will be back up.

Happy Wednesday
