Stump

Our old Copper Beech was felled last year and the incredibly talented Simon O'Rourke turned the stump into a garden seat.

We love what he's done, not only because it looks fabulous and turns a problem into an elegant solution, but because it reflects the seasons in a way we hadn't anticipated. A frosty dawn, viewed through the seat's open back, gives a cheeky glimpse of what promises to be another beautiful day in Llangollen!
