Sorry, another sunset shot
There will be a few throughout our travels no doubt but no one gets bored of a good sunset, do they? You can just see the boy fishing at the end of the rocks on this one.
Andy is feeling much better today and we do our usual beach thing. We haven't explored the island much and feel a little guilty about it but we have looked into accommodation elsewhere and there isn't any within our budget due to the time of year. We have also seen many people with injuries from motorbikes and the roads here are quiet twisty so we've decided against bikes as we're not experienced and, perhaps more importantly, neither are most of the other tourists on bikes! There are taxis of course but we've gone into lazy mode.
Julia, Fred's friend from Bangkok, kindly gets on the case for accommodation on Koh Mak as she and her husband are already there. Unfortunately, although we'd be able to get somewhere for the 30th there is nowhere for the 31st that she can find so we're staying here for new year by the look of it. We'll have to catch up with Julia back in Bangkok instead. Its a shame but can't be helped and we're quite settled here and have met a few people so its not such a bad thing. We knew it may well be like that though, hence not just turning up on Koh Mak.
Back onto chasing the old Indian visa again tomorrow ... fingers crossed.
