Friendship

I recieved this rose from Kristen, Dave and their girls for Mother's Day. I cut it down and put it in one of my bud vases and it has been displayed on the window sill above the kitchen sink since Sunday.

I noticed today just how much it's opened since then, reminding me of how our friendship has bloomed. I have recieved a great friend through their marriage. Dave was part of our lives years ago - and was a groomsman in our wedding. We always knew that one day, he too would find his soulmate. What we didn't realize was that we'd all be so close when he found her.
