All quiet on the home front.
A fabulous day out today Mrs W and I went into town to meet Rita and John. After a leisurely coffee and a catch up (they've just got back from Cuba) we visited the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum.
I love this annual exhibition, it has the most amazing images of all aspects of the natural world. The only downside is it makes me want to travel to all these far flung corners of the world to witness these amazing scenes and creatures.
Then after a long late lunch we had a mooch around Knightsbridge amongst the Christmas lights before setting off home. Public transport in London today has been a bit of a disaster. No Central or Circle lines and at Kings Cross a load of trains had been cancelled. We were faced with a huge crush on our train or.......a different train to Stevenage and a lift from one of the boys.
So a new adventure for us - being picked up from the station by Mr H and driven home. What a great pleasure that was too! Mr H cooked a chicken chow mien for tea and we settled in for the evening.
This is Miss H, Mr E, Mr H and Miss L all warm, fed and content in front of the TV. The only downside being yours truly, leaping in front of the TV, camera in hand to take a blip.
A really fun day!
