Post Christmas reflections

Morning Star

patterns dance
the morning shadows
above the stairs
a hallway star 
points, projecting 
winter window light
magical holiday
reflections of wonder
on walls and those
who tread beneath

Ten wild turkeys in a perfect row just filed by the window, crossing the back stone patio like feathered soldiers.

For the Record,
This day came in cooler with sunshine. A pale blue winter sky with many clouds ushers in colder days as the year winds down.

All hands a bit tired, but happy. I'm still dealing with my back issue and it's improving, but wearing.
