Old School

This delightful building used to be the village school. Nowadays it is a home, with many many restrictions on what can be done to in the name of improvement. It seems strange that a listed building doesn't mean a warm habitable house, but I don't work for English Heritage so what do I know?
Such a beautiful day that I had a walk to the next village Rimpton, about a 45 min walk. Husband returned from Yeovil and suggested a walk to Sandford Orcas and a lunchtime drink. Only trouble pub was closed on a Monday. Walk to next pub, quietly cursing, in Corton Denham. Open, drink and a bowl of soup, delicious. Then a walk home, much longer than intended but exercise for today done. Blip taken on first walk of the day.
