christmas at the beach English style

A definite joy over the holiday period is not having to be anywhere at anytime - especially before 9am! However the day does have a tendency to get away from us and so our outside/walkie bits seem to really get going when there is the threat of a sunset to motivate us! Does lend itself to capturing decent sunsets though. In fairness we are not too slovenly - the sun sets around here ridiculous early - 3pm onwards...Anyway we climbed a hill, explored the beach and went swimming (indoors!) all after 2pm. 

I have to admit I do find it still a slight mind bend  - a winter Christmas - my NZ upbringing still seems to dominated what I consider normal at this time of the year!
