After the game

Last night we played Britannia with friends - game two of our twenty-four game sequence in which we hope to play every combination of the different colours between the four of us. A sequence that ensures we each play a different colour in every set of four games, with no more than six games between playing the same colour and never having to play the same colour twice in a row. All of which was inspired by continuing to read reviews of the game online that said how even it should be when we have consistently found one colour (yellow, formerly purple in the previous version) to be disadvantaged. Anyway, last night I suspect we finally played the way the game designers intended things to go and while yellow was last once again the margin between fourth and first was just ten points - anyone might have won had a couple of dice rolls gone the other way at crucial moments. Looking forward to the next game in the new year!
