Little Day Out

Spent the day in bed then met Nomi after she finished work, had a coffee and took a drive up the Coronet peak road, the same road that led us to Skippers Canyon when we went on the jet boat with dad. Lovely but extremely hazy and a touch windy made it basically impossible to get a sharp photo. As I sipped on cider and Nomi had a glass of her usual Malibu and orange (yep, that's a drink), sunset approached, this was one of the better shots from today and I really played with it on the computer just to give it a different feel, almost like an illustration and certainly a bit more believable as the Middle Earth Tolkien talks of.

The car didn't seem to like the long uphill road, probably because it's 20 years old and has done over 200,000 miles. It's a great little Toyota ED though, so I'm sure it will recover nicely. I might take it a bit slower next time.
