Christmas at Dexter's

The week's torpor was decisively broken with a nice bike ride on the tractor, although the small amount of frost and almost zero ice wasn't enough to justify the spiky tyres that just added to the effort needed to keep the thing moving. Still, a lovely day for it and it meant my pact for the week was fulfilled, which is pretty good since Strava tells me that previous Christmas weeks have been pretty much exercise-free.

It also tells me that 30 miles off road is much harder than 30 miles on roads and more practice is needed. The first day of the Great Glen Way is 55 miles of that, like doing today and then doing it again but probably without sleeping on a sofa for two hours.
