Mayflower Steps

A walk around Plymouth Hoe and Barbican in cold and sunny conditions. The Mayflower Steps commemorates the Pilgrim Fathers departure from Plymouth in the ship Mayflower in September 1620 to form a settlement in the "New World". The original steps were destroyed by fire shortly after and later replaced with this memorial.
