A favourite scene

Another day, another visit to Stourhead. I love this stand of trees - and so does my landscape photography hero, Charlie Waite. How do I know? Because he said so, when I did a photography workshop with him at Stourhead two years ago!

All my other photos today were full of colour (Stourhead is colourful all year round). I have no idea why the colour in this one is so muted - I didn't desaturate it - but I rather like it for its 'ghostly' feel.
