What a cold night!

Went out early this morning to check our plants after a very icy night (-5 I believe - I know that's not cold by Norwegian standards but it felt pretty cold all the same :) )  The Cordyline was covered in "ice jewels".  The Yucca looked a little droopy and sad.  The Winter Jasmine was doing a bit better and the Poinsettia - well what can I say but it's artificial and lights up every night after dark! The green bushy plant is covered in beautiful little white and yellow flowers in the spring right through to the autumn and we know it as the fried egg plant - not sure what its real name is?  And the little birdie - poor thing (but look a little closer fellow blippers and you will see a clip for where his little legs should be!)  Sorry, I need a lie down but instead I'm off to Spain tomorrow for a week so hopefully will have some sunnier blips to post.  Happy New Year to you all...
