A Walk on the Wild Side

A lovely crisp winter day. It is some time since we went to the nature reserve. The elusive bittern has returned. But it remains elusive, at least to us anyway.

Just off the footpath we saw a rabbit which has been caught by a stoat, it could have been a weasel but I am going for stoat. The stoat had it pinned down but when it spied us it released the rabbit and stood a little way off. After a few moments the rabbit recovered and sprinted off in the direction of the stoat which then ran off.

That was our excitment for the day.
